Laurent Lavigne du Cadet Profile ImageSeries 7, 24, 63, 79 and 99 FINRA certified, Laurent Lavigne du Cadet is an experienced financial executive, specialized in financial investments, money management and bank loan structuring. With over 25 years in experience in the US and international markets, and as a previous CEO or CFO or several investment and industrial companies, Laurent is covering all the expertise needed by GDS360 in terms of financial management, capital raise and future IPO.

Laurent is currently Managing Partner at Orchestra Finance, a specialized investment bank regulated by the FCA in UK, and CEO of an SEC regulated investment advisory firm in NY. He was previously Senior Advisor at Dentons US LLP, the largest law firm in the world, where he was a member of the Energy and Infrastructure practice. At Dentons, Laurent provided clients with financial and deal structuring advice and is known as a professional placement agent and innovative debt raiser.

Laurent is an experienced senior manager with more than 20 years in international business, as a company founder, decision maker, investment banker and financial advisor. He has been the CEO of several global investment companies, a fund manager and has raised more than US$3 billion of equity and US$5 billion in debt during his career.

He was recently Deputy CEO of Taylor-DeJongh, a leading US investment banking firm specialized in the financing of major energy and infrastructure projects.

Before joining Taylor-DeJongh, Laurent was CEO of Amwal, a leading Qatari Investment bank controlled by QIA, QNB, Qatar Foundation and the Royal Family of Qatar. During this period, in 2008, Laurent led several multi billion dollars project financing for Qatar Gas, Qatar Petroleum, and other international oil companies. Laurent organized the structuring as well and raising of a US$227 million Shari’ah compliant mezzanine fund to finance a quasi-equity tranche for the completion of the financing of an energy project. (The first Shari’ah mezzanine fund ever done, this financial structure and transaction was recognized with an Islamic Finance award in 2009.)

Laurent is very experienced with financial structuring issues and negotiations involving international financial institutions such as World Bank, IFC, EIB, EBRD and African Development Bank. Laurent has been a Managing Director at Dubai Islamic Bank from 2002 to 2007, one of the leading Islamic banks in the world and thus has a perfect knowledge and expertise in terms of Islamic Finance.

Before this, Laurent was Managing Partner of ALTERNATIVE FINANCE PARTNERS, a London based project finance and financial structuring firm specialized in energy projects.

Laurent is a specialist of the energy and power sectors and has led the financing of numerous power plant projects all over the world, particularly in Central Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
